The vision of Fraser is a more inclusive and equitable world where all people can realize opportunity, access empowering resources and systems, realize their dreams, and thrive. Our mission is to make meaningful, lasting impacts on people’s lives.
Every day, our vision and mission can feel daunting and unattainable. This is especially true when outside forces challenge our ability to stay positive and retain our belief that we can make a difference in the world.
February 2 was one of those days, when we learned that another innocent Black man, Amir Locke, had been killed at the hands of Minneapolis police officers.
Fraser urges our legislative and community leaders to work together swiftly to effectively reform methods of policing that result in injustices against innocent people. We support an immediate moratorium and a permanent termination of the no-knock entry and search method.
Fraser’s voice joins the mounting chorus calling for an end to racial injustices in Minneapolis and St. Paul. By making this statement, we hope and pray that our voices are heard.
We must remember that our day-to-day work helping and supporting disadvantaged, underrepresented people is a powerful antidote to the challenges that Minneapolis and St. Paul continue to face. Standing on the platform of our mission, Fraser’s words and actions shine the light on the vision of a community in which everyone can thrive.
