Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) 101

This introductory training provides a clear overview of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), helping participants build a deeper understanding of the condition and the interventions that foster success. Through practical tools and strategies, we address key areas such as organization, communication, sensory processing, behavior, and emotional regulation. Participants will gain skills to better navigate the emotional challenges that often accompany a diagnosis, while also learning about valuable community resources and supports. By the end of the session, attendees will be equipped with knowledge and strategies that can be applied immediately to support individuals with ASD in everyday settings.

Understanding Neurodiversity: Building Inclusive Communities

This training introduces the concept of neurodiversity, celebrating the unique strengths and perspectives of individuals with diverse neurological profiles, including ASD, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Dyslexia, and more. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how neurodiversity shapes learning, communication, and behavior, while exploring practical strategies to foster inclusion in schools, workplaces, and community settings.

Executive Function: Strategies for Success

This training explores the critical set of cognitive skills known as executive functions, which include planning, organization, time management, working memory, self-control, and flexible thinking. Through practical tools and strategies, the session highlights ways to strengthen executive function in both children and adults. Topics include building routines, improving organization, supporting emotional regulation, and fostering independence. Real-world examples and interactive activities help participants apply these strategies in classrooms, workplaces, and home environments.

By the end of the training, attendees will be equipped with actionable approaches and resources to support individuals in developing stronger executive function skills, leading to greater success and confidence in everyday tasks.

Emerging Adulthood

Designed for Fraser clients, parents, community members, and professionals, this training offers a brief introduction to the topics and resources frequently encountered while transitioning into adulthood (ages 14–26). It addresses frequently asked questions and provides resources in the following areas:

Suicide Prevention:

This training is designed to raise awareness about suicide prevention, reduce stigma, and equip participants with practical tools to recognize warning signs and provide support. It will cover terminology, cultural considerations, and screening measures. This training can be tailored for different population groups, ages, or settings, such as school-based.

Building Healthy Relationships:

This training covers concepts that support the caregiver–child relationship and a child's development. Participants will learn activities to work on developmental areas, how to follow a child's lead, delight in them, use labeled praise, build reciprocal interactions, and co-regulate with their child. The session emphasizes embedding this knowledge into everyday activities and routines.

  • Standard Fee: $200 per direct hour. Additional costs may be incurred for preparation, travel, and material.
