Childcare for children 16 months to 33 months

At Fraser School, toddlers receive nurturing childcare while they engage in guided, developmentally appropriate activities. Much of a toddler’s developmental growth involves learning communication through oral or sign language, building a sense of self-identity, and gaining independence. Our curriculum helps strengthen these skills.

We strive to maintain a child-to-staff ratio of 5:1 or 6:1 for toddler classrooms.

Additionally, each child is guided toward development of early learning and socialization skills.

  • All toddlers receive individual playtime, so they can explore their environment.
  • Your child will have daily movement and exploration opportunities in our indoor gym.
  • Group times help children learn structure, by sitting together to hear stories or songs.
  • Children explore music through rhythm, movement, and song, twice per week.
  • Snack and mealtimes help develop social skills.
  • Toddlers practice skills like self-feeding, self-soothing, and early toileting.
  • Your child will get loving care in nap time and diapering/toileting times.

Fraser School also offers an early childhood beginning program for toddlers who don’t need childcare but want the benefit of socialization and play-based growth. Toddlers can attend these sessions from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., for two, three, or five days per week.
