Postdoctoral Residency Training Director, Licensed Psychologist Dr. Jaffe-Talberg has specialized experience in psychological evaluation for autism and differential mental health diagnosis from early childhood to young adulthood. She has experience in assessment of children, birth through age 5, having completed the State of Minnesota Advanced Case Studies DC:0-3R for Licensed Mental Health Professionals and received training in DC: 0-5 Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health. Dr. Jaffe-Talberg also has extensive experience in providing family and individual therapy for children, adolescents and adults, with a specialization in play therapy and evidence-based relational modalities of treatment. She is passionate about girls’ and women’s issues, men and masculinity, and commitment to diversity and multicultural awareness in treatment. Dr. Jaffe-Talberg obtained her Doctorate in Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, Argosy University-Chicago Campus. She provides individual and group supervision to doctoral interns and postdoctoral residents for therapeutic intervention and psychological evaluations.
Dr. Klein has been a pediatric neuropsychologist in the community for more than 25 years. Previously, she was appointed in the Division of Pediatric Neurology at University of Minnesota Hospital. She started the Pediatric Neuropsychology Clinic at Minneapolis Children’s Hospital. For the past 25 years, she has been the Director of Neuropsychology at Fraser. She served on the Autism Task Force with the Minnesota Legislature and has particular interest in Traumatic Brain Injury, Post-Concussive Syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Dr. Klein is the Doctoral Internship Training Director and provides doctoral intern and postdoctoral resident individual supervision for neuropsychological evaluations.
Dr. Dodge grew up in Minnesota and moved to Philadelphia to obtain her bachelor’s degree at Haverford College and her Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis at Temple University. She has worked as a Behavior Therapist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst with children with developmental disorders for over ten years. Dr. Dodge also worked with the University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for over five years as a consultant who supported the implementation of evidence-based practices with early intervention and school-based students with autism in a large urban school district. After obtaining her PhD from Temple University in the School Psychology program, Dr. Dodge moved back to her hometown and became a Licensed Psychologist in Minnesota in 2016. Dr. Dodge has extensive psychological assessment experience with children and adults in both clinical and school-based settings. Dr. Dodge provides clinical supervision for postdoctoral residents, doctoral interns, and BCBA candidates.
Dr. Vaughan-Jensen has experience providing mental health services to children and their families within school systems and outpatient mental health agencies. In particular, she has extensive experience conducting psychological evaluations for children, using a variety of assessment tools and instruments to measure development, cognitive ability, academic aptitude, adaptive functioning, and social, emotional and behavioral functioning. Dr. Vaughan-Jensen has training and experience conducting evaluations with children ages birth through 18, with a particular interest in the assessment of children ages birth through 5. She has completed the State of Minnesota Advanced Case Studies DC: 0-3R for Licensed Mental Health Professionals and received training in DC: 0-5 Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health. Dr. Vaughan-Jensen obtained her PhD from Texas A&M University and became licensed in Minnesota in 2017. She provides individual clinical supervision for doctoral interns and postdoctoral residents for therapeutic intervention and psychological evaluation.
Dr. Spangler received his Psy.D from the University of St. Thomas, and completed both his predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Fraser. He has experience in completing neuropsychological evaluations with children and adolescents, and also completes adult evaluations to assess for autism spectrum disorder. He has also previously worked in group home and in-home therapy settings for children and adults with a variety of diagnoses. He has been formally trained in exposure-response prevention for obsessive-compulsive disorder and hoarding behaviors. Dr. Spangler currently spends most of his professional time completing neuropsychological and adult autism evaluations, and continues to provide a small amount of individual therapy to adults on the autism spectrum. Dr. Spangler provides individual clinical supervision for doctoral interns and postdoctoral residents for neuropsychological evaluations.
Dr. Tomassoni obtained her Psy.D. in counseling psychology from Saint Mary’s University in 2016. Throughout graduate school Dr. Tomassoni worked at Courage Kenny alongside neuropsychologist conducting assessments with adults who had a history medical difficulties including strokes, heart attacks, and brain injuries. She trained as an intern in psychological assessments and evaluations in a variety of settings including children and teen mental health inpatient units, juvenile detention centers, residential treatment centers, and the outpatient setting. Dr. Tomassoni has worked with children as young as three up through adults, with specialized training in assessing for autism spectrum disorder and a wide range of other mental health diagnoses. Since coming to Fraser in 2021, she has narrowed her focus to completing psychological evaluations to children ages three through 17. She provides individual clinical supervision for postdoctoral residents for therapeutic intervention and psychological evaluation.
Dr. Lardinois received her Psy.D. from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology, Argosy Twin Cities campus and completed both her pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Fraser. She has experience in completing neuropsychological evaluations with children and adolescents, as well as evaluating young children through adults to assess for autism spectrum disorder. She has also previously provided therapy for children and adolescents with a variety of diagnoses. Dr. Lardinois has received training in DC: 0-5 Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health. She currently oversees the outpatient therapists at Fraser’s Woodbury clinic while providing clinical supervision for master’s level therapists and post-doctoral residents. Dr. Lardnois provides individual clinical supervision for postdoctoral residents focused on psychological evaluation.
